Proteomics Gives Us the Cancer Traffic Report
Kayla Sparks, Ignite’s Director of Clinical Affairs, and Emanuel “Chip” Petricoin, co-inventor of Ignite’s proteomic technology and chair of its Science Advisory Board, make the case for adding functional proteomics to cancer diagnostics: genomics shows what a tumor is equipped to do, while protein activation shows what it is actually doing, and together they give a stronger rationale for choosing among approved therapies.
